Wise Apple Raises $3.6M in Seed Funding

-

Wise Apple, a Chicago, IL-based meal delivery service, secured $3.6m in seed funding.

The round was led by Pritzker Group Venture Capital and Levy Family Partners with participation from Chicago Ventures, Greycroft, BoxGroup and Irish Angels.

The company, which has raised $4.3m to date, intends to use the funds to expand nationwide next year.

Launched in 2016 by Techstars alumni Rebecca Sholiton and Nate Cooper, Wise Apple is a direct-to-consumer meal delivery service which allows families to select from an array of ready-to-eat meal options and have them delivered to their homes.
Each meal is balanced and includes a main dish, fruit, vegetable and sweet treat.

The platform involves kids in meal planning and aids in educating them about healthy choices. Parents and kids jointly select and customize their weekly meals from a variety of balanced meals.

Wise Apple is available for delivery throughout the Midwest with plans to expand in 2018.
