Call9 Raises $24M in Series B Funding

-

Call9, a Brooklyn, NY-based tech powered Emergency Medicine company, raised $24M in Series B financing.

The round was led by Redmile, with participation from Index Ventures, Refactor, YCombinator, Western Technology Investment and others. Rob Faulkner, Managing Director of Redmile – will join Call9’s Board in conjunction with the funding.

The company intends to use the funds to make technology platform enhancements for new roadmap development, as well as go-to-market strategies for new locations.

Founded by Emergency Medicine physician Timothy Peck, MD, Call9 provides a technology platform and a multi-disciplinary healthcare service, by connecting on-site clinical care specialists to remote physicians, delivering care to patients at their bedside in nursing homes and rehabs.
The company’s embedded care model approach is a replacement of 911 and subsequent hospitalizations and readmissions, lowering healthcare costs, while improving care outcomes.
