Smartly.io, a Facebook advertising creative, optimization and automation tool, received a $20m secondary investment from Highland Europe.
In the secondary round, existing stakeholders’ shares were sold.
Founded in 2013, Kristo Ovaska, founder and CEO, Smartly.io is a SaaS-based company that automates Facebook and Instagram advertising at scale for global advertisers. The platform provides brands with tools to create, launch, and optimize campaigns with first-to-market solutions and features by automatically pulling product images into ads in formats such as Dynamic Ads for Products, Facebook Canvas & Collection Ads, and Instagram Stories.
Over 500 brands and agencies including eBay, Zillow, JustFab, Fabletics, BARK, Hopper, SkyScanner, Lazada, Zalora and Deliveroo use Smartly.io to run Facebook advertising at scale. The company has a team of over 160 people in Helsinki, Berlin, New York, Singapore, San Francisco, Dubai and Buenos Aires.
