Toronto, Canada and Menlo Park, California-based early-stage venture capital firm Relay Ventures has expanded its team with the addition of three members and the promotion of another one.
The additions include:
- Spiros Michalakis, Professor of Quantum Physics at Caltech as Professor-in-Residence. In this role, he will advise Relay on its academic outreach strategy.
- Jessica Tsoong as Entrepreneur-in-Residence; In this role at Relay, her focus will be on deal sourcing, investments, and advising portfolio companies on product management and strategy.
- Kady Srinivasan, Global Head of Digital Marketing at Dropbox as Venture Advisor. Srinivasan will spend time advising portfolio companies, hosting CEO workshop dinners, coaching founders, and strategizing with Relay partners on a range of issues and topics to help startups scale and grow their businesses
The firm also promoted Jake Cassaday to Associate Partner. In this new role, Cassaday becomes a member of the investment team and will source and lead investments directly.
