NumberAI, an Oakland, California-based AI platform for small businesses to connect phone numbers digitally, raised $1.6m in seed funding.
DFJ Venture Capital incubated and funded the company.
The company is using the funds to continue to develop the platform and expand operations.
Co-founded by Tasso Roumeliotis, Joel Grossman, and Andy Ruff, NumberAI provides an AI driven platform to connerct phone numbers digitally by learning how users deal with customers and automatically updating itself. Numa responds immediately to customers, Enables SMS on a business phone numbers, including landlines, and handles Facebook and other messaging platforms.
It transcribes voicemail messages for faster review, sends a response back to the caller when it knows the answer, updates greetings to handle holidays, events, and promotions.
The company has already worked with Telecom & Cable and Banks & Payments companies.
