Pensa Raises $4m in Series A Funding

Pensa, a Mountain View, Calif.-based provider of a SaaS platform for delivering virtual data centers, reportely raised $4m in Series A funding.

The round was led by March Capital Partners.

Co-founded in September 2015 by Chief Technology Officer Ujwal Setlur, Vice President of Product Management Ganesh Rajan, and Vice President of Engineering Ramprasad Gopalsamy, and led by Chief Executive Officer Tom Joyce, a former senior executive of Dell, Hewlett-Packard and EMC, and Vice President of Marketing Jim Chappell, Pensa provides a SaaS-based intelligent technology platform to simplify the delivery of complete virtual data centers, including compute, networking, storage, security, and applications. The first product available on the Maestro platform is Pensa Lab, a new on-demand SaaS offering that customers can use to create virtual IT test labs before deploying applications securely.
Pensa can produce complete, validated virtual data centers based on VMware, OpenStack, and other technologies, enabling IT personnel to work with new technologies like Software-Defined Networking and Software-Defined Storage without a need for deep technical expertise.
