Tespack, a Helsinki, Finland-based mobile energy and wearable technology company, raised €2m in funding.
The round was led by WOW Ventures Saudi Arabia with participation from Neal Dempsey of Bay Partners.
The company will use the funds to expand operations and its development focus on IoT, UFS charging technology while creating mobile energy solutions for the consumer market as well as for the military.
Founded in 2013 and led by CEO Mario Aguilera, Tespack combines technology, solar and connectivity to create and offers mobile energy products for different activities. Its first product line, Tespack Smartpacks, enables users to collect energy from the sun, store it in one mobile chargers and charge all the devices, even laptops, on the move. Now, the company has developed a new, innovative ultra-fast charging technology to charge new power bank full in 12 minutes (to be launched in 2017).
Smart Wear products are already available for the consumers and customers include Intersport, Vodafone, Scandinavian Outdoor Store as well as rescue forces.
Tespack also works with governments, NGOs and local cities (including city of Helsinki and Valencia) and partners including TomTom, GE and Austrian Space Forum to develop a solar smartpack for a Mars mission.
