1QB Information Technologies Inc., a Vancouver, Canada-based software company handling computational challenges using advanced quantum and classical hardware, closed a C$45m Series B funding round.
The round was led by Fujitsu Limited, with participation from Accenture, Allianz, The Royal Bank of Scotland, and CME Ventures.
The company intends to use the funds to continue to expand its research and software development teams.
Led by Landon Downs, President, 1QBit provides hardware-agnostic platforms and services (from SDK to web API) that enable the development of applications which scale alongside advances in both classical and quantum computers. The company partners with Fortune 500 clients and hardware providers to solve industry problems in the areas of optimization, simulation, and machine learning.
1QBit has an interdisciplinary team of 50 comprises mathematicians, physicists, chemists, software developers, and quantum computing experts.
