Maria Empanada Secures $3.5M in Series A Funding

-

Maria Empanada, a Denver, CO-based Argentinian craft casual restaurant, raised up to $3.5m in Series A funding.

The Colorado Impact Fund (CIF) provided the funds.

The company will use the funds to open new Maria Empanada locations.

Founded in Denver in 2010 by Lorena Cantarovici, a native of Buenos Aires, Argentina, who started selling empanadas from her garage, mostly to friends and family, Maria Empanada now offers artisanal, hand-crafted and fresh-baked empanadas and other traditional Argentinian dishes in three locations across the Denver metro area.
