The Nordic Web Ventures will invest between $25-75,000 into 10-15 Nordic startups over the next 12 months. The average cheque size will be $50,000.
After the investment, the fund will help companies define their most important goal for the next three months. An informal advisory board will be set up from its LP support network around the goal to meet (online or offline) with the startup for a minimum of one hour each month. The advisory boards will be refocused and refreshed every three months, maximizing the company exposure to the network throughout the first year following the investment.
In addition, the portfolio has monthly meetings with Murray and informal advisory board (for the first year), full access to the The Nordic Web’s support network through ad hoc online communication and ongoing assistance with hiring, fundraising and problem solving.
Philipp Moehring and Andy Chung helped Murray raise the fund and provide legal and back-end support for the ongoing operations.
