City State Entertainment, LLC, a Fairfax, VA-based developer of the Massively Multiplayer Online Roleplaying Game Camelot Unchained, secured a $7.5m minority investment.
This round was led by Mythic Entertainment, which was sold to Electronic Arts in 2006, with participation from the principals of GF Capital Management & Advisors, LLC, a New York City-based private equity firm.
Co-founded by videogaming industry veterans Mark Jacobs, CEO, and Andrew Meggs, CTO, City State Entertainment is a game studio whose titles include City State Entertainment and March on Oz.
The company intends to use the funds to accelerate hiring in the Virginia and Seattle Washington studios as well as the delivery of Camelot Unchained.
