The riund was led by Access Venture Partners, with participation from Relay Ventures and an additional four North American angel investors. In conjunction with the funding, Kirk Holland, managing director at Access Venture Partners, will join the Good Buy Gear board of directors.
The company will use the funds to expand to more cities throughout the U.S.
Led by CEO Kristin Langenfeld and COO Jessica Crothers, Good Buy Gear is an online marketplace with for buying and selling previously owned baby and kids’ products, like strollers, furniture and toys. Good Buy Gear manages everything from pickup to payout allowing parents to avoid consignment stores or meet-ups with strangers that often accompany selling gear online.
The company currently serves the Boulder and Denver metro area, offering nationwide shipping on many items.
