LindaCare, a Leuven, Belgium, and Hartford, CT-based digital health company specializing in remote patient monitoring solutions for chronic disease management, raised $7m in Series B funding.
Backers included Philips and PMV and existing investors Capricorn ICT Arkiv, Connecticut Innovations and a number of other minority shareholders.
The company intends to use the funds to accelerate its US market expansion and product commercialization, build of new services around the existing software platform and explore options for expanding its products to a broader range of cardiac diseases.
Led by Shahram Sharif, CEO; Miguel Maquieria, CTO; and Nicolas Giraud, CFO/COO, LindaCare provides OnePulseTM, which enables cardiologists to manage remote monitoring of patients suffering from chronic heart failure and cardiac arrhythmia with Cardiac Implanted Electronic Devices (CIED).
The product is installed and is in use in a number of major hospitals in Europe, as well as being launched in its first pilot projects in the US.
