Red Points, a Barcelona, Spain-based Intellectual Property (IP) infringement platform provider, closed a $12m Series B funding.
The round was led by Northzone with participation from previous investors Mangrove and Sabadell Venture Capital.
The company intends to use the funds to open an office in New York in February 2018 and continue to grow in Europe.
Founded by Josep Coll, who shortly after brought in David Casellas as co-founder and VP Sales, and with Laura Urquizu joining as CEO in 2014, Red Points developed a cloud-based SaaS solution for IP infringement detection and removal. The solution, which is comprised of an advanced keyword-monitoring system with image recognition to detect IP infringements wherever they occur, enables clients to automate counterfeit and piracy identification and take it down.
It has 300 clients worldwide.
