UserZoom, a San Jose, CA-based user experience (UX) research platform company, acquired WhatUsersDo, a research technology company.
The amount of the deal was not disclosed.
Led by CEO Nick Imrie, WhatUsersDo has specialized in sourcing participants for qualitative usability research with an emphasis on the European market. Following the acquisition, UserZoom customers can leverage this new ecosystem of panelists to enable participant sourcing – especially internationally where demand is rising rapidly.
In 2016, the company had already acquired YouEye, whose large panel of quality participants for Think-Out-Loud feedback was incorporated into UserZoom’s participant sourcing engine.
In Q4 of 2015, UserZoom completed a $34m financing round led by TC Growth Partners (now Sunstone Capital Partners), Trident Capital and StepStone Group.
UserZoom provides a cloud based enterprise class research and testing platform that provides quantitative and qualitative insights to measuring and improving the user experience. With offices in four countries, the company serves global brands like Coca-Cola, Google and Amazon.
