Bessemer Venture Partners (BVP), a global venture capital firm investing in consumer, enterprise and healthcare technology companies, promoted Talia Goldberg’ from vice president to principal.
As principal, Goldberg will lead early and growth stage investments for the firm in consumer internet, marketplaces and software businesses.
She has demonstrated an ability to identify interesting investment opportunities and partner with leading companies through notable investments, including Korean payments startup Toss, shipping startup Shippo and field service software platform ServiceTitan.
Since joining BVP five years ago, Goldberg has played a significant role working with Collective Medical Technologies, Dashlane, Raise, ServiceTitan and Vidyard, among others.
She serves as a board observer for 42Floors, Raise, ServiceTitan, Shippo, Toss, Vidyard and Wikia.
Based in San Francisco, Goldberg joined BVP in 2012 with a focus on internet and software businesses. She was most recently named to Forbes’ 30 Under 30: Venture Capital, and has previously been named to Business Insider’s Silicon Valley and New York lists of “30 and Under: Rising Stars Who Find Hot Startup Deals.”
Prior to joining Bessemer, she co-founded an adaptive and personalized learning startup and worked at Foursquare, a location-based mobile company, as an early member of the business development team. While at the University of Pennsylvania, Goldberg was also a founding partner of the Door Room Fund, First Round Capital’s student-run investment fund that now has investment committees across the United States.
