France Hostels, a Paris, France-based network of youth hostels, raised €3.3m in second funding round.
Backers included Bpifrance and Extendam.
The company intends to use the funds to accelerate technology development efforts, opening five hostels in the Deux-Alpes, Paris, Bordeaux, Marseille and Strasbourg, as well as advancing two complementary projects being finalized.
Created in late 2015 by Romain Viennois and Johan Anssens, France Hostels operates a network of youth hostels which leverages technology to optimize the price and meet the specific expectations of “Millenials”, young travelers aged 18 to 25.
The technology gives travelers the chance to accomodate starting at €19 per night, accompanied by a range of complementary services in terms of entertainment, work and leisure.
