BetterUp, a San Francisco, CA-based leadership development platform, raised $26m in Series B funding.
The round was led by Lightspeed Venture Partners with participation from existing investors DFJ, Freetyle Capital and Crosslink Capital.
The company intends to use the funds to hire salespeople and developers, as well as continue to expand operations internationally.
Led by Alexi Robichaux, Co-Founder & CEO, BetterUp provides a leadership development platform that brings personalized, expert coaching to employees at all levels. The BetterUp app matches each Member with a certified coach through an algorithm. Members meet with coaches via video or phone chat for weekly 30-minute sessions. Guided by goals chosen by the user, the coach serves up virtual, bite-sized resources and exercises selected to support the individualās particular needs. Coaches track their progress with in-depth dashboards, giving companies a measurable ROI that is supported by scientific and behavioral research.
Customers include LinkedIn, Genentech and Logitech, among others.
