Intercom, a San Francisco, CA- London, UK- and Dublin, Ireland-based provider of a suite of messaging-first products, raised $125m in funding.
The round, which values the company at over $1 billion, was led by Kleiner Perkins Caufield Byers.
The company intends to use the funds to expand operations and build new software features.
Co-founded by CEO Eoghan McCabe, Chief Strategy Officer Des Traynor, and CTO Ciaran Lee, Intercom builds a suite of messaging-first products that internet businesses can use to accelerate growth across the customer lifecycle, from acquisition, to engagement, and support.
Today more than 25,000 businesses, including New Relic, Sotheby’s, and Shopify, use the company’s product to connect with a billion unique people worldwide.
