Chromatic 3D Materials, Inc., a Minneapolis-based 3D printing materials company, closed a Series A funding round.
The round was led by DSM Venturing.
Led by Dr. Cora Leibig, CEO, Chromatic 3D Materials makes 3D printable polyurethanes and foams with the durability to meet the requirements for finished manufactured goods, which offers several possibilities for novel product designs in a variety of markets.
The development of this technology was supported by the National Science Foundation SBIR program.
In addition to investment, DSM and Chromatic 3D Materials will partner to introduce the technology to various markets. The first product family includes flexible polyurethane elastomers for a range of applications in the apparel, tooling, automotive, and healthcare markets.
