Edovo, a Chicago, IL-based social impact startup focused on prison and jail education and communication, closed their A-3 raise with over $9M in funding.
Investors included Impact Engine (Chicago), Lumina Foundation (Indiana), SustainVC (East Coast), IDP Foundation (Chicago), Evolve.Foundation (Bay Area), Kapor Capital (Bay Area), and Ekistic Ventures (Chicago).
The company plans to use the funding to continue to scale their program to correctional facilities across the nation.
Led by Bran Hill, CEO, Edovo provides educational, vocational, and rehabilitation programming, as well as a suite of communication tools and re-entry resources. The program is delivered via secure tablet technology in order to help the incarcerated population better prepare for release and reintegration into their communities.
