Koio, a New York-based maker of luxury leather sneakers, raised $3m in Series A funding.
The round was led by Acton Capital Partners with participation from Brand Foundry Ventures, Winklevoss Capital, Miles Teller and Simon Kinberg.
The company intends to use the funds to expand operations and its business reach, plans to open a store in Nolita.
Founded in 2015 by Chris Wichert and Johannes Quodt, Koio is a direct-to-consumer brand that makes Italian hand-crafted leather sneakers, for both men and women, which start at $148.
