CloudGenix, a San Jose, CA – based Software-Defined Wide Area Networking (SD-WAN) company, received an investment from Intel Capital.
The amount of the deal was not disclosed.
The company intends to use the funds to accelerate product and go-to-market expansion.
Led by Kumar Ramachandran, CEO, CloudGenix provides software-defined wide-area network (SD-WAN) solutions that allows customers to deploy cloud, unified communications and data center applications to remote offices over broadband networks with security eliminating the need for proprietary hardware routers, expensive router upgrade cycles and vendor lock-in.
Administrators specify application-specific policies for performance, security, and compliance that directly reflect business and IT intent. CloudGenix AppFabric builds a network that enforces those application-specific policies in real-time, regardless of where the applications are deployed, whether in the data center, cloud or SaaS. It delivers the user experience on any network type – internet broadband, MPLS or LTE.
