Iora Health, a Boston, MA-based primary care provider with a focus on Medicare patients over 65 years of age, secured $100m in Series E funding.
Backers included .406 Ventures, Devonshire Investors, F-Prime Capital, Flare Capital Partners, GE Ventures, Humana, Khosla Ventures, Polaris Partners and Temasek.
Led by Rushika Fernandopulle, Co-Founder and CEO, Iora Health is building a care model that provides patients with office and non-office based encounters (e.g. phone, text messages, and email), an accessible and transparent medical record and educational offerings via practices across the U.S. which employ care teams, made up of a provider, Health Coach, Behavioral Health Specialist, Team Nurse, Clinical Team Manager and an Operations Assistant, working together to treat the whole person.
The company intends to use the funds to drive further investment in Chirp, its proprietary collaborative care technology platform that enables its teams to care for their patients as individuals and as a population.
