Pingboard, an Austin, TX-based provider of live org chart software, raised $5m seed funding.
The round, which brings total funding to $7.5m in total venture funding, was led by Active Capital, with participation from Pingboard founder and CEO Bill Boebel, Silverton Partners, and Capital Factory. In conjunction with the financing, Pat Condon joined Pingboard’s Board of Directors.
Pingboard’s growth to than 1,000 customers in 39 countries. Those customers include Demandbase, POPSUGAR, Khan Academy, Charlotte International Airport, Sequoia Capital, Purple, American Underground, Udemy, Silvercar, WP Engine, and GoFundMe.
Founded in 2013 by Boebel and Rob Eanes, and in incubated at Capital Factory, Pingboard provides live org chart software that makes it easy to organize teams, plan for growth, and keep everyone informed. Pingboard allows companies to create a visual, live org chart and keep it up-to-date automatically by integrating with their existing HR system.
Today, the company powers nearly 11,000 org charts at more than 1,000 companies in 39 counties, including Demandbase, POPSUGAR, Khan Academy, Charlotte International Airport, Sequoia Capital, Purple, American Underground, Udemy, Silvercar, WP Engine, and GoFundMe.
