Rootility, a Tel Aviv, Israel-based developer of root-focused plant breeding methods, raised $10m in Series C financing.
The round was led by ADM Capital’s Cibus fund, with participation from existing investors GreenSoil Investments and Middleland Capital. In conjunction with the funding, Alastair Cooper, Senior Investment Director at the Cibus Fund, will join the board of directors of Rootility along with recently named Andre Goig.
The company intends to use the funds to expans sales and further develop its rootstock breeding solutions for a wider variety of crops.

Rootility’s methods are GMO-free, based on simulation and empirical work in combination with breeding techniques, which enable the company to cross and screen crops at a large scale and high speeds. It has applied its technology in a number of crops in different regions globally.
