Wine Subscription Service Bright Cellars Secures $2.8m in Funding

Bright Cellars, a Milwaukee, WI–based personalized wine subscription service powered by data science, secured $2.8m in funding.

Backers included Cleveland Avenue, Northwestern Mutual’s Cream City Venture Capital and CSA Partners.

This investment will allow Bright Cellars to continue growing in Milwaukee.

Led by Co-founder and CEO Richard Yau, Bright Cellars provides a personalized wine subscription service powered by a data science-driven engine for direct feedback and a deeper understanding of millennial consumers’ wine preferences.
Since completing the gener8tor accelerator program in 2015, the company’s subscriber base has grown to more than 22,000 members, with revenue growing tenfold.
Bright Cellars’ team has more than 40 employees.
