Cypress.io, an Atlanta, GA-based automated testing framework built for the modern web, secured $4m in seed funding.
The round was co-led by Las Olas Venture Capital (LOVC) and Bessemer Venture Partners with participation from previous investors Tech Square Ventures, BLH Ventures and Buckhead Investment Partners. As part of the financing Esteban Reyes, founding partner of LOVC, has joined the Cypress board of directors.
The company intends to use the funds to accelerate product development, sales growth and market expansion.
Led by Drew Lanham, chief executive officer, Cypress provides testing for anything that runs in a browser. It is used by more than 13,000 developers at organizations like Betterment, Crunchbase, DHL, GitHub, Kiwi, NASA, The New York Times, Slack and Shopify.
Cypress is headquartered at the Advanced Technology Development Center at Georgia Tech in Atlanta.
