Perch, a NYC-based platform for interactive retail marketing, raised over $1.7m in seed funding.
The round was led by The Visuality Corporation, Corigin Ventures and angel investors. Howard Meitner, former Sephora CEO, has joined the company’s board of advisors.
The company intends to use the funds to scale its computer vision, behavioral sensing and customer analytics solution.
Led by CEO Trevor Sumner, Perch provides a mixed reality retail marketing platform that can detect what products customers are touching, picking up or putting down and respond with dynamic digital content. Its embedded IoT technology unites digital content with physical products, delivering personalized product messaging for higher customer engagement, and product sales lift.
Perch has deployments in over 20 countries across 5 continents with clients that include Neiman Marcus, Sunglass Hut, Jo Malone, Sephora, kate spade new york, Bayer, Pernod Ricard and others.
