Worq, a Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia-based co-working space provider, raised US$2.5m in funding.
Backers included Bangsawan Consulting and Phillip Capital.
The company intends to use the funds to open a new place in Subang Jaya in October 2018 and add new locations soon.
Led by CEO Stephanie Ping, and Andrew Yeow, CFO, Worq is creating a coworking community by taking care of workplace needs of and facilitating connection among entreprenuers, freelancers and businesses. The company currently hosts over 70 teams and approx. 10,000 members.
Existing backers in the company include Cradle Fund, SMG, 500 Startups and some private individuals.
