Thornhill Medical, a Toronto, Canada-based medical device developer, completed a Series A funding of undisclosed amount.
The round was led by Yonghua Investment Management Co., Ltd. of Shanghai, PRC.
The company will use the funding to support working capital for its market released line of emergency mobile products, expand its global sales and marketing presence and continue clinical research in the fields of non-invasive cardiac and brain stress testing.
Founded in 2003 by Dr. Joseph Fisher, a research scientist in the field of anesthesiology and cardiovascular intensive care, and led by Kipton Lade, President & CEO, Thornhill Medical makes compact mobile emergency respiration and anesthesia devices.
The company is a spin off from the University Health Network.
