TeleSense Secures $6.5M in Series A Funding

telesenseTeleSense, a Sunnyvale, California-based provider of environmental monitoring solutions for grain and food production, storage and transport, secured $6.5m in Series A funding.

The round was led by Finistere Ventures with participation from Congruent Ventures, Maersk Growth, Rabobank’s Food & Agri Innovation Fund, Radicle Growth, Trailhead Capital and Plug and Play Ventures. In conjunction with the funding, Spencer Maughan, co-founder and partner, Finistere Ventures, will join the TeleSense Board of Directors.

The company intends to use the funds to bring its data-driven solutions to the global agricultural supply chain, with an initial focus on grain storage and transport solutions, and invest in R&D for the further development of its GrainSafe™ artificial intelligence (AI) platform.

Led by Co-Founder and CEO Naeem Zafar, TeleSense provides Industrial IoT, real-time environmental monitoring solutions for grain and food production, storage and transport.
The company’s solutions automate data collection and wirelessly upload and analyze it. Whether assets are at rest or in motion, using cloud-based technology, TeleSense enables enterprises to monitor the environmental conditions in real-time.
