countingupCountingup, a London, UK-based provider of a mobile bookkeeping and banking app for small businesses, startups and freelancers, raised £2.3m in seed funding.

The round was led by Forward Partners with participation from Frontline Ventures and JamJar Investments.

The company intends to use the funds to accelerate app development.

Led by Tim Fouracre, founder and CEO, Countingup provides a business current account (with a UK sort code, account number and a contactless Mastercard) that automates bookkeeping.
The app features:
– a business current account, which can be opened in 5 minutes,
– automated bookkeeping,
– automated receipt scanning (coming 2018),
– Tax calculated & filed (coming 2018)
– Professional invoices (coming 2018) and
– other benefits.

In particular, users can free their time to work on business and data is accessible anytime, anywhere & securely backed up in the cloud.
