LendInvest, a London, UK-based online platform for property finance and investing, raised approximately $39.5m (£30.5m) in Series C (pre-IPO) debt and equity funding.
Backers included Atomico, GP Bullhound, and Tiger Management.
The company intends to use the funds to continue its investment in technology.
Led by Christian Faes, Co-Founder and CEO, LendInvest provides an online marketplace platform for property finance and is one of the UK’s largest non-bank mortgage lenders. The company lends finance to professional property investors and developers, and makes it possible for all sorts of investors – from individuals to some of the world’s largest financial institutions – to invest in the loans it originates.
To date, investors in the platform have invested over £1.2 billion in loans, helping bring 4,000 new or improved homes to the UK market.
LendInvest has been rated three times by a regulated European credit rating agency.
