Silvernest Raises $3M in Series A Funding

silvernestSilvernest, a Denver, CO-based online roommate-matching platform, raised $3m in Series A funding.

The round – which brings total funding to date to $4.45m – was led by Incenter, a Blackstone Group portfolio company.

The company intends to use the new funds to expand its user base, acquire new talent and build out its digital platform with new features and functionality.

Launched in late 2015 and led by Wendi Burkhardt, CEO, Silvernest uses a proprietary algorithm to match boomer homeowners with housemates for long-term home sharing, providing them with options to remain in their home, generate additional income and establish new social connections. The platform offers a comprehensive tool set that includes: – identity verification,
– background checks,
– lease creation,
– automated payments,
– mediation and
– legal support.

The company has has expanded to all 50 states in the past year and, to date, has made nearly 40,000 qualified matches in its system.
