Bright Machines, a San Francisco, CA-based manufacturing robotics startup, raised $179m in Series A funding.
The round was led by Eclipse Ventures.
The company intends to use the funds to continue to develop the platform and expand globally.
Led by Amar Hanspal, Bright Machines is advancing a full-stack manufacturing automation platform for automotive, electronics, medical device and soft goods manufacturers to produce electronic and automotive systems, by bringing together flexible factory robots, intelligent software, production data and machine learning.
The company currently employs more than 300 people.
