DataRobot Raises $100M in Series D Funding

datarobotDataRobot, a Boston, MA-based automated machine learning company, raised $100m in Series D funding.

The round, which brought total funding to $225m, was led by Meritech and Sapphire Ventures, with participation from DFJ Growth and 16 previous investors including New Enterprise Associates, IA Ventures, and Intel Capital. In conjunction with the funding, Meritech’s Rob Ward and Sapphire’s Jai Das joined DataRobot’s Board of Directors.

The company intends to use the funds to automate data science initiatives, expand its product portfolio, and grow global operations.

Founded in 2012 by Jeremy Achin, CEO, DataRobot offers an enterprise machine learning platform that empowers users of all skill levels to develop and deploy machine learning and AI. Incorporating a library of hundreds of open source machine learning algorithms, the DataRobot platform automates, trains, and evaluates models in parallel, delivering AI applications at scale.
