Classting, a Korean K-12 education social platform, raised approx. $4m in venture capital funding.
Mistletoe – a venture capital firm founded by Taizo Son – made the investment. In addition, the company raised approx. $2.5m via an investment from the Korea Development Bank.
The edtech startup intends to use the funds to develop personalized education services using advanced technologies, such as Big Data and AI, as well as expanding its Asian business.
Led by CEO Cho Hyun-gu, Classting provides an education social platform that allows teachers, students, and parents to communicate, teach and learn in an effective way. It has more than 4.5 million users (teachers, students, and parents) in 15,400 schools and educational institutions around the world.
