First Round Capital, a US venture capital firm focused on providing seed-stage funding to tech companies, is raising two new funds.
The new vehicles include:
– First Round Capital VII Partners Fund, L.P., amounting to $10,607,717; and
– First Round Capital VII, L.P., amounting to $209,392,283.
They haven’t raised any sum, yet.
Founded in 2004 by Josh Kopelman, First Round is a seed-stage venture firm focused on building a community of technology entrepreneurs and companies, including Uber, Square and Warby Parker. Through custom-built software, in-person experiences, and a host of other services, the firm helps small teams get big companies. The firm – based in Philadelphia, San Francisco and NYC – does not consider divisions between angel, seed and pre-seed.
The firm’s investment team includes Ben Cmejla, Hayley Barna, Chris Fralic, Rob Hayes, Howard L. Morgan, Bill Trenchard, and Phineas Barnes, among others.
