Analytical Flavor Systems, a New York City-based provider of artificial intelligence for new product development to the food and beverage industry, raised $4m in funding.
The round was led by Leawood Venture Capital and Global Brain, with participation from Hyperplane Venture Capital, Bits X Bites, Cornes Technology, and others. In conjunction with the funding, Karl Gemperli, Naoki Kamimaeda, Vivjan Myrto, and Eamonn Cary, will join Analytical Flavor Systems’ board.
The company intends to use the funds to hire new people and expertise to expand its existing capabilities and further deploy its technology across the food and beverage industry.
Founded in 2013 by Jason Cohen, CEO, Analytical Flavor Systems is the company behind Gastrograph AI, an artificial intelligence platform designed specifically for developing new food and beverage products.
The companyās platform allows companies to develop new products, optimize existing brands for target consumer demographics, and enter new markets. .
Analytical Flavor Systems serves more than 20 global consumer packaged goods (CPG) companies in the United States, France, Holland, UK, China, and Japan.
