DeepMap, a Palo Alto, California-based provider of high-definition mapping technology for autonomous vehicles, raised a funding of undisclosed amount.
Generation Investment Management – a sustainability-focused investment firm with offices in London and San Francisco – made the investment joining prior investors Andreessen Horowitz, Accel Partners, GSR Ventures, Robert Bosch Venture Capital, and others.
Led by James Wu, CEO and Co-Founder, DeepMap is a provider of high-definition (HD) mapping technology for autonomous vehicles. The company delivers the technology necessary for self-driving vehicles to navigate in a complex and unpredictable environment addressing three important elements:
– precise high-definition mapping,
– ultra-accurate real-time localization, and
– the serving infrastructure to support massive global scaling.
It also has offices in Beijing, China.
