KuCoin Raises $20M in Series A Funding

KuCoin-LogoKuCoin, a Singapore-based international cryptocurrency platform, raised $20M in Series A funding.

Backers included IDG Capital, Matrix Partners and Neo Global Capital.

The company intends to use the funds to expand operations, development efforts, and its business reach globally.

Led by CEO Michael Gan, KuCoin providea a crypto trading platforms whose exchange has already attracted more than five million registered users in over 100 countries.
The company is now finalizing the second version of its exchange. Platform 2.0, which is expected to be live in Q1 2019, will will be a dynamic and secure trading platform which will allow KuCoin to scale and add quite a diverse set of features such as stop orders, upgraded APIs and dust collector.

Global expansion will focus on targeted markets such as Vietnam, Turkey, Italy, Russia and all Spanish-speaking countries.
