Wild Friends Foods Closes $3.5M Series A Funding Round

wild friendsWild Friends Foods, a Portland, Oregon-based clean-label food brand, closed a $3.5m Series A funding round.

The round was led by Cambridge Companies SPG, with participation from Katjesgreenfood, Echo Capital, CircleUp Growth Fund, Portland Seed Fund, and angel investors Tony Robbins, Steve Hughes, as well as Jamie Schmidt.

Led by co-founder and CEO Keeley Tillotson, Wild Friends is a clean-label food brand, specializing in non-GMO nut and seed butters and nut butter-based breakfast items, including Oats and Nut Butter.

The round followed Wild Friends’ launch of Oats and Nut Butter, a new oat cup line featuring a base of rolled oats, chia and flax, and the addition of a single serve nut butter packet. The new line is now available nationwide in Whole Foods Market, Sprouts and Publix.
Wild Friends has also recently announced other developments, including B-Corp certification and the addition of:
– Beth Hanson, formerly on the 301 Inc team at General Mills, who joined as VP of sales, and
– Christina McCalla, formerly Marketing Manager at Annie’s, who joined the team as director of marketing.
