Bounce, a San Francisco, CA-based mobile platform for booking daily storage, raised $1.2m in funding.
Backers included:
– Seabed VC,
– Jillian Manus, a managing partner at Structured Capital,
– Rob Chesnut, and
– Michael Hyatt, a Canadian entrepreneur and investor,
– among several others.
The company intends to use the funds to roll out across to dozens of new cities throughout 2019.
Led by CEO Cody Candee, Bounce provides a mobile platform for booking daily storage wherever users are in New York, San Francisco, Washington DC, Chicago.
The company has more than 100 storage locations in operation, all of them hosted by local retailers such as hotels and dry cleaners who signed up to list their extra space on the platform.
The company, in operation for one year with its web-based product, has stored tens of thousands of bags already, proving out the model. Customers range from business travelers to urban commuters to parents.
