Crew Raises $35M in Series C Funding

-

crewCrew, a San Francisco, CA-based chat app for businesses that employ shift workers, raised $35m in Series C funding.

Backers included DAG Ventures, Tenaya Capital, Greylock Partners, Sequoia Capital, Harrison Metal Capital and Aspect Ventures.

The company intends to use the funds to improve both the app and the newly launched product for enterprises.

Founded in 2015 by Danny Leffel and Broc Miramontes, Crew is a communications app that keeps everyone on the same page about everything work-related. It gives companies and frontline employees who don’t have ready access to effective communication technology on the job, from store clerks, restaurant managers, coaches, to pharmacists, nurses, and first responders, a new way to communicate and stay engaged.
Crew Enterprise is a new product aimed at bringing the benefits of its main app to large, multi-location businesses with thousands of employees.

Thousands of teams across every industry currently use the company’s platform.
