PetaGene, a Cambridge, UK-based genomics data compression company, raised $2.1m in funding.
The round, which brought total funding to $3.2m, was led by Romulus Capital with participation from Entrepreneur First backed by Greylock Partners.
The company intends to use the funds to grow its technical team based at in Cambridge, its global sales team and further expand its product offerings.
Led by Dan Greenfield and Vaughan Wittorff, PetaGene provides software that enables compression of huge amounts of genomic data without compromising on access or data quality.
