Samuel Knight International, a Newcastle, UK-based recruitment and project man-power specialist, received a significant investment from Gresham House Ventures.
The amount of the deal was not disclosed.
The company is using the funds to increase headcount, further invest in technology, and expand internationally with the potential acquisition of two sites abroad.
Established in 2014 and led by Steven Rawlingson, CEO, Samuel Knight provides skills and energy solutions to the energy and rail sectors on a permanent, contract and temporary basis.
The company, which achieved £13m turnover last year, also has offices in London and Bristol.
