GradeSlam, a Montreal, Canada-based personalized learning organization that provides students with academic support, raised a financing round of undisclosed amount.
Backers included the Google Assistant Investment Program, Birchmere Ventures, BDC Capital, Reach Capital and Anges Quebec.
The company will use the funds to build support for voice platforms, expanding its product reach to service a broader range of students.
Led by Philip Cutler, CEO, GradeSlam provides students with one-to-one online tutoring for any subject, at any time. Educators provides students with contextualized feedback on precisely where they went wrong in the learning process and guide them towards a deeper understanding of the problem.
As all of the tutoring sessions are recorded and analyzed, the organization equips teachers with a formal record of their student’s learning outside of the classroom, completing the learning feedback loop.
GradeSlam is currently working with over 150 schools, districts and organizations including Laguna Beach USD, Irvine USD, Groton School District, Queen’s University, the Canadian Junior Hockey League and Nelson Education, amongst others.
