Workit Health, an Ann Arbor, MI and Lafayette, CA-based telehealth addiction treatment company, raised a Series A funding round of undisclosed amount.
The round was led by Blue Cross Blue Shield Venture Partners, with participation from Endeavor Catalyst and existing investors Montage Ventures, Lux Capital, Wakestream Ventures, Invest Detroit, and RRE Ventures.
The company intends to use the funds to expand its programs nationwide.
Founded in 2015 by Lisa McLaughlin and Robin McIntosh, Workit Health is a telehealth addiction treatment company bringing evidence-backed care to individuals, healthcare organizations, and employers. Currently, its clinic program is one of the few providers of telehealth medication for opioid use disorder.
It offers low-barrier buprenorphine treatment via telehealth after a single in-person visit. Members follow up via video with their clinician, message their recovery coach 24/7, and work through a personalized curriculum of courses tailored to their self-set recovery goals.
Workit’s Clinic program launched in Michigan in 2017 and California in 2018, with plans to expand into additional states this year.
The company has an interactive curriculum of over 1,000 engaging online courses.
