Ubiquity Ventures, a Palo Alto, CA-based new seed-stage institutional venture capital firm, made its first six investments in startups.
They are:
– Eclypsium, whose product defends the foundational software called firmware from malicious attacks and thus secures hardware infrastructure;
– Elementary Robotics, which is focused on building human-safe robots, utilizing machine learning and computer vision;
– Halter, a livestock management company that combines a smart hardware collar with an AI-powered backend to enable smart dairy farm management;
– Levl Technologies, which leverages proprietary security technology to prevent the impersonation of wireless transmitters and to secure a variety of communications, especially with low-power devices;
– Parallel Domain, which enables the testing of self-driving cars through software that creates completely customizable photorealistic maps, dynamic agents and scenario management, as well as layered simulation to train self-driving cars in virtual environments before they are on the road; and
– Shoonya, which has built a layer that allows software applications to run in the field securely.
Founded by Sunil Nagaraj, Ubiquity Ventures is a seed-stage venture capital firm focused on early-stage investments in deep technology startups dedicated to smart hardware and machine intelligence applications.
